Educational Leadership, Ed.D.

The Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in educational leadership offers a rich theoretical knowledge base as the foundation for the development of visionary leaders for the Pk-16 environment. The Ed.D. consists of 60 semester hours of coursework and a 12 semester hour dissertation requirement combining an individualized program of study with specialized course work and research.

English, M.A.

The MA in English is designed for students who are planning to continue their teaching careers at the secondary level, or intend to teach at a college/university level and intend to engage in scholarship beyond.

English. B.A.

The Department of English and Languages offers programs of study leading to the Bachelor of Arts in English, the BA in English with 8-12 Language Arts Certification, and the BA in English with an emphasis in technical writing. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.

Geoscience, B.S.

The Bachelor of Science degree in Geoscience is 120 credit hours and consists of six concentrations including Geology, Environmental Science, Petroleum Geology, Science Teacher Certification (Grades 8-12), Hydrogeology, and Earth Science. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.

History, B.A.

The Bachelor of Arts degree in History is designed to expand and enrich a student’s knowledge of history, to encourage critical thinking about the world, and to develop research, writing, and analytical abilities in United States, European and World History. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.

Human Resources Management, M.S.

The Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management provides students opportunities to develop critical skills in areas such as research and job analysis, recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and organizational effectiveness.
