Chemistry, B.S.

A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry is designed for students that like to work with both their hands and their minds. This degree prepares students for graduate studies or careers in the scientific community or academia. A teacher certification option is available in the program to teach at the secondary level.

Child Development and Family Studies, B.S.

The B.S. in Child and Family Studies is designed for students who want to work with children and families outside of the public school setting. The degree’s three tracks help students tailor their education to their desired career path and provide them with the necessary background to obtain specific certifications upon graduation.

Child Development and Family Studies, M.S.

Tarleton State University’s Master of Science degree in Child Development and Family Studies (CHFS), will be able to offer additional intellectually rigorous content and concentrations specific to CHFS careers. This program offers a more in-depth study of children, adults, and families across the lifespan.

Civil Engineering, B.S.

The Civil Engineering degree program administered by the School of Engineering is a new and rapidly growing degree program at Tarleton. This program prepares students to develop innovative solutions related to our infrastructure, including analysis and design of structural, transportation and geotechnical systems.

Clinical Mental Health Counseling, M.S.

The M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree consists of coursework that satisfies the academic course requirements for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential in Texas. Students with a teaching certificate and two years teaching experience have the option to take coursework that gives them eligibility for the TExES school counseling certification test in order to become a Professional School Counselor. The Counseling faculty genuinely care for students by offering classes in the evenings, on weekends, online, and hybrid to meet the busy demands of a career and family.

Communication Studies, B.A.

Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies provides concentrations in Journalism and Broadcasting, Public Relations and Event Management, and Professional and Relational Communication that are offered on select campuses. Only the Professional and Relational Communication concentration is offered on the Fort Worth campus.
