More About the Program

  • Sigma Tau Delta

Sigma Tau Delta, also known as the International English Honor Society, was founded in 1924 by Dr. Judson Q. Owen at Dakota Wesleyan College. The purpose of the organization is to recognize "undergraduates, graduates, and scholars in academia as well as professional writers who have recognized accomplishments in linguistic or literary realms of the English language."

For more than a century, members have worked to strengthen the study and teaching of both language and literature.
